Stamp With Us Recipe Challenge

The challenge this week from Stamp With Us is a recipe challenge to use 2 pattern papers, 1 ribbon and 4 brads. This for me was the hardest of the challenges so far but finally came up with this after a few trial and errors.

Stampin up items used are:

Scallop Circle punch
1.25 circle punch
Boho Blossoms Punch
Old Olive and More Mustard Textured card and More Mustard Ribbon from Simply Sent Cards Elements.
Rainbow Sherbert Designer Papers
Riveting Stamp Set.

Non Stampin up items are gold brads, Fiskars punch, Quickutz Revolution Scroll and Amber Clay and Olive Pastel Colour Box chalk ink pads - which were a good match with the other colours until I can get the matching ink pads.

Papertake Weekly Challenge Sketch 13

Still suffering from jet lag after my hols and can't sleep so finished of this card to post. Loved Dawney's Sketch on this weeks Papertake Weekly Challenge which inspired me to do this first birthday card for a little girl. Stamp is Penny Black unwrapped, papers are K & Co, distressed with Tim Holtz Tattered Rose Ink. The one is cut from Cricut and embossed with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder. Finished off with doodling which I think made a difference to the end result.

Stamp With Us Colour Challenge

Just got back from my holiday today and, as I missed last weeks Stamp With Us Challenge, I wanted to do this weeks colour challenge using a picture of a chocolate cup cake for inspiration. This is my interpretation - very simple last minute entry.

Stampin up items used:

Base card used is Kraft, papers are from the Chocolate Chip Designer Papers, Chocolate Chip Ribbon and stamp used is from One of a Kind set, stamped several times on Kraft card with Adirondak Espresso Ink and layered, (haven't yet got matching ink pads - on my wish list).

Papertake Weekly Challenge - Sketch

Second challenge today but really wanted to get this card done today as I'm off on holiday Friday. I loved Dawney's Sketch design when I saw it so decided to enter the Papertake Weekly Challenge too. Background paper is My Mind's Eye, Stamps are La Compagnie des Elfes - Cannelle and spring outfit, wording is from a Stampin Up set.

A Spoonful of Sugar Challenge - How Old

Thank you to Tracy who saw my previous post and told me about the 'How Old' Challenge from A Spoonful of Sugar which asks for a card with the age of recipient on it. As I've made this card for a friend which fits the challenge set, thought I would have a go at this challenge too. Background paper is Basic Grey, the flowers are cut from Quickutz, the 50 is Bazzill card cut from my cricut, stamp is from Paper Inspirations.

Another challenge post to follow, two in one day, can't believe I've managed to do this as I'm off on my holiday tomorrow, and trying to do this in between packing.

Princess Castle

My little 5 year old grand daughter goes to so many parties at the moment and is always needing cards for her little friends, so I have to keep them simple. Saw a similar design to this on a website, sorry can't remember which one, and have used it several times, especially with these cute little stamps from imaginisce. Papers are Disney Princess.
This is all very new to me and I was chuffed to bits to see that some lovely comments have been left for my first post. Thank you.

I'm not yet sure how to link to, or leave comments on other blogs. Took me ages just to find out how to post a picture with the text so I think it's going to take me a while to find my way around. Just tried to link the Stampwithus logo, followed the instructions and what appeared on mine, I haven't seen on any other blogs, so deleted it and will try again another time.

First post, First ever card challenge

Having admired many blogs and been inspired by so much creative talent, I have now decided to take the plunge and start a blog.

The fab new Stampwithus Blog has set their first sketch challenge, so my first post is my first ever challenge. Have used mostly Stampin Up products and the frame shape is from Cricut Accent Essentials cartridge. I haven’t used these colours before on a card, bashful blue, blush blossom and chocolate chip, but had planned a baby boy scrapbook page with the same colours and liked the combination, so thought I’d give it a try for this.

Made the same card in silver for an anniversary card for a lovely couple who celebrate their first wedding anniversary this week.

Think I will be using this sketch design quite a bit!
